A Murky Apology- I think..

I feel like I've just spammed a load of rubbish but please stick with me here, I was just trying to play catch up and post as much as possible from the past few weeks. From tomorrow I will try and update as regularly as possible and it won't just be boring listings of where Cocos clothes are from- I promise! I'm still trying to get my bearings with this site so I apologise for it all being very basic at the moment, I'm working on it but Coco has learnt to crawl this week and I literally can't take my eyes off her for 5 minutes so I have to steal time for this whilst she sleeps, talking of sleep, I'm yawning as I'm writing this, I think I need to head there myself! Love & Light xoxo

Raving or Behaving?

The sun was shining today and it was actually warm and no signs of rain!! So finally we got those leggies out with no tights! Ofcourse she didn't wear the hat but it just turned up in a delivery so I couldn't resist a photo opportunity. She really looks to me like she should be at some dodgy rave somewhere in that hat and her shades, perhaps I've been to too many dodgy raves, or maybe not enough.. Anyway, she looks erm.. bright? I told you I was into bobble hats! I cant wait until she can actually stand up so that I can photograph her shorts etc properly, these shorts are so adorable with little scalloped edges!

Baby Jamiroquai

I'm really into big bobble hats lately, Coco isn't much of a fan, she tries to pull them off but I've been stocking up now for winter. I really love this one but its size 6-12 months and it fits her perfectly now so I doubt it will fit for long in winter :( I ordered the age 1-2 one also but it was absolutely massive and would have covered her whole face, that's the thing with buying baby/ kids clothes in advance you're just never sure of how quick they're going to grow and when things will fit them, So much stuff Coco has never worn but it probably won't fit her by the time I think it will.

Babba Babba Hey!

She looks like such a funny little gremlin on this! I'm really not a massive fan of babies in black, especially with Cocos colouring because she's so pale but she has so many band T's that we must get use out of and since she's getting bigger she's suiting it more. Anybody who knows me will know of my love for anything Stars & Stripes- as in the U.S Flag, not just random stars and stripes. I've been obsessed with it for years but as of late it has decided to be the 'cool' thing and every shop is selling something with it on so I thought I better get Coco in on the action too!

Yeti Baby

This is also from a few weeks ago. Okay this isn't really my usual 'style' but shes a baby girl so I have to do some form of fluffy marshmellowness at some points! As Sioned said- she is a pastel dream. She even perfectly matches the bedding- Uh Oh!

Shopping day!

Yesterday (20th July) my papa took us shopping because he wanted to treat Cocaliscious to some new clothes, obviously this is mostly treating me and Coco would be happy naked so I have no complaints although my own wardrobe is looking rather scarce lately- where's mine at Pops! I will do a post tomorrow showing what she got, she is definitely living up to her name! Anyway this is what she wore, I am in love with these lemon lace shorts and this blouse, well the hat too.. Okay I just wish that I could wear this whole outfit.. (I really thought that I was the furthest possible thing from a 'Next Person' I guess I was wrong..)

Preppy Chick

On Tuesday we had to go to the doctors so I thought that we would attempt to play in the park first, although on this picture it looks like a grey day it was actually rather sunny but threatening rain- of course it was, it's only July! Anyway, if you follow me on Instagram or Tumblr then you will know that she's been to the swings before but never been much of a fan, this time however was a complete success, she had the biggest smile the whole time, I can't wait to take her back.
I'm sure I'm not the only one who received a tonne of hand knitted baby cardigans on the arrival of their little bundles and at first you think oh how nice.. another one..but they actually come in so handy, I really love this one its not tight and fitted its really baggy fit and looks super cute thrown on with leggings and a plain top. I'm really into the traditional Ralph Lauren look so although this outfit is 'plain' I'm a big fan as I think that the preppy look is timeless and can clearly be done at any age!

Is 8 Months Too Young To Go Through A Rockabilly Faze?

This was a blazing hot day a few weeks ago, I decided to take my big vintage pram out so that always brings a good photo opportunity! You can't really see it properly but the little sailor romper is from Zara, the sunglasses were mothercare & the bandana is just an old one of mine fold it over a few times and ta dah!

Coco At Her Punk Rock Finest

This picture has largely been the reason for this blog, When I took it I had no idea the attention that it would cause. I'm not even a massive fan of it myself, it makes me laugh, I think she reminds me a little of Jay-Z on it I don't even know why.. She's always so serious on photos!

Why hello there..

Okay I'm new to this but I feel like it's time for me to move on from Tumblr and start a 'real' blog.. So here we go. Wherever will I begin? Have a little about me, I am a twenty something, self confessed consumerist mother from the great North of England, currently passing through Essex on the way to London Town. To say that my life took an unexpected turn in February last year would be an understatement, it was the single scariest and most confusing time of my life but I've never been one to shy away from a 'challenge', in fact, I thrive off doing things that people say I couldn't or shouldn't do, so I did the only thing that I could and I welcomed this life twisting change with open arms and on the 21st October 2011 Coco McQueen was born and everything suddenly had a purpose. I realised then that there were never truer words spoken than "everything happens for a reason" she was meant to be here, a part of me, there is no other logical explanation for the way the past few years have played out other than it was all for her.

This blog will mostly be full of pictures of my darling girl Coco and since my ultimate past time now is buying her clothes and dressing her it will be full of my inspiration, outfits and recent buys, perhaps think- 'baby style blog' and you might be thinking along the right lines. I'm mostly doing this for personal use, so that I can look back at her ever changing wardrobe and document her personal style evolving as she starts to take charge of dressing herself (I can just see the show downs now as she reaches 3 and screams for the frilly pink polyester dresses she passes on market stalls- didn't your mama teach you anything girl, no one looks good in pink polyester!)

First and foremost I am a mama but that does not define me, I'm still Grace, I love to live, I love freedom and I am unashamedly forever seeking spiritual enlightenment..
